St. Thomas' Parsonage | Preston | August 12. 1857. The Revd. W. P. Jones 951 would be very much obliged to Messrs.
Blackwood to inform him if there will be any more Parts of Scenes of Clerical Life, Janet's Repentance. Parts 1 and 2 of that allude to his deceased Brother, 952 who died 23 years ago last December, and he is utterly at a loss to conceive who could have written the statements or revived what should have been buried in oblivion. W. P. Jones with his only surviving sister had his attention drawn to the Paper by a clerical friend who knew all the Parties alluded to, most if not all of whom have long been in Eternity. If Messrs. Blackwood will oblige Mr. Jones by an answer they will confer a kindness on him.
