My dear Madame Bodichon,
I have had a great hunt for Donne's poems 572 which had got pushed in behind some other books and I was in mortal fear the volume had got lost stolen or strayed. However here it is and I hope it will reach you safely. I will send you the Fraser in a day or two as my sisters want to read the article and I think you said you were in no hurry.
The Donne is very precious with her neat little index of favorite pieces and many markings. On p. 165 you will see what we were trying to recall:
"For love all love of other sights controls And makes one little room an everywhere."
I am so glad that it will be in your appreciative possession -- for you having sought the book out with much trouble it is very meet and proper that it should go back to you and remain a constant and delightful memory of her.
It was a real pleasure to me to be with you and to hear about old days and I hope I may come down again later on in the year and find you equally well in your charming country place and delightfully simple life.
