My Dear Lewes
Inclosed I have the pleasure of sending a cheque 'a320. in acknowledgement of "Only a Pond." I have been so busy that I have not yet read your review of dear old Sarah. If she could see what we were about she would be as much surprised and gratified by a review nowadays as her celebrated namesake by the unexpected presentation of little Isaac. I inclose a note for George Eliot so no more at present from
