My dear Lewes
I am quite vexed to hear that you are still so poorly, but I hope that the change to the South will put you all right. Pray take a good spell of freedom from work while you are about it.
People are very fond of writing books to teach others to think, but if some one could teach you not to think for a spell it would be doing you a good turn. I hope however that the sun on the Continent will partially have that effect.
I hope the new adventure with the Novels may be a happy and prosperous one for all concerned. 555
