Dear Madam
For your new Novel Sister Maggie we now beg to offer you Two Thousand Pounds for an edition of four thousand copies selling at 31/6 and payment at the same rate for every copy that we may sell beyond the four thousand at the above price.
For every thousand that we might print of a 12/- edition we would pay One Hundred and Fifty Pounds per thousand and for any 6/- edition 'a360 per thousand. 438
If this proposition meets with your ideas we would propose that the arrangement should be a permanent one. Believe me, Dear Madam for self and brother,
