My Dear Mrs. Lewes
The corrected proof of Theophrastus arrived safely today and I shall send you revise of the whole with both Titles for our joint consideration. Your proof was not pulled on the paper on which we proposed to print the Book and we shall send you a specimen with proper margin. It will be a point with us to make it as handsome a volume as possible and we shall put in such a notice as you may approve as to the time at which we received the M.S. May or June are as good a season as any other to publish.
I am extremely glad to hear that you have been driving out and I hope you will persevere in going out. When I come up in Spring I trust to find you much stronger than at present and your face wearing that look of gentle power and sympathy with every one with which I have so long been familiar.

P.S. We sell the Birth Day Book at 3/6 cloth bound and 5/- bound in leather. There were some few copies bound plain morocco but they would be more expensive. The Book takes well but we made the binding too expensive for the selling price.
