Dearest Pater
I have been so ill I have not been able to write or I should have done so long ago. I think I am getting a little better, but am far from strong or well. My weight now is 118 lbs. The Neuralgia "thank goodness" has left me, and I hope will never return.
Many many thanks for the 100£. 285 I at once took your advice and bought myself a case of Porter and got other medical advice. Eliza is not well, she expects to be confined in May. Marian grows very well and interesting. I have no more news at present.
