My dear Willie
I am awaiting the proofs from Tait who being much occupied takes his time, and now I must start without them. He is to send them to Ballantynes 204 who are to send them to me. Will you please let them know that they can send me whatever they have ready to Fontainebleau poste restante
'abprovided'bb. But I shall probably not be there till the 28th and not stay over the 29th. When I have got Tait's proofs I can soon liberate some type.
We were both very sorry to hear of the aristocratic gout making his appearance in your honorable tissues. May German baths wash it out!
We start tomorrow at 7.30.
Yours truly
G. H. L.
