MS: Imperial College of Science, London.
Park Shot | Richmond | Friday 19 February.
My dear Sir
I can honestly say there is no man in England whose favorable opinion on any question of biological science could be so gratifying to me as your's, and you may judge therefore with what pleasure your note was received accompanied as it was by a present I greatly value. Some of the papers were already known to me, others were unobtainable and have been asked for in vain. They will all be valuable to me on any subsequent visit to the coast and in the event of a second edition of the [Studies.] Believe me, my dear Sir,
Yours very truly
G. H. Lewes.
