My dear Professor
I have persuaded Parker of the desirability of the Magazine's tomahawking you. 257 To assist me in that benevolent process (as an anatomist you can't object to dissection -- nor to vivisection!) will you lend me Broderip's two articles in the Quarterly 258 and also the 2nd volume of your Comp[arative] Anat[omy], the volume on Fishes which I have had from the London Library more than once but can't get just now. 259
You were good enough to say you would let me use the sheets of the Inverteb[rates] for extract in case I wanted to do so. Now the proofs will do very well for me to bind up into a copy; but if you have any duplicates of revises I need not rob you of another copy. I will tell you when the article is done what extracts are made.
While I am begging I will go on and beg for your Zoological Sunday ticket -- any Sunday you may have it free?
