My dear Tr'fcbner
Imprimis: Don't forget your kind promise to let me have 6 dozens of the Moselle when it arrives. I have left orders with the servant at the Priory about it.
Secondly: Can you tell me whether Every Saturday, the newspaper published by Osgood and Co. at Boston comes to England -- I mean more than a few private copies? My reason is this. They want to print Mrs. Lewes's novel (when that is written!) in weekly instalments before it appears here. Now if the paper is only seen by Americans this would not matter; but if it came to England, the case would be different. Resolve this doubt. 293
Thirdly. How are you, Mrs. Tr'fcbner and the child who was ill when I last saw you?
If the summer severity would only abate this place would be paradise. The solitude is absolute and the scenery delicious.
