My dear Mrs. Strachey
Of the houses on your list No. 1 Cunningham Place wants thoroughly cleaning and papering (the landlord will do whatever is wanted) and then might perhaps suit you. No. 19 Cavendish Rd. 126 is a house we so much longed for that although it was not to let I ventured to write to the tenant asking if there were any probability of his leaving it in 2 years. He said No, so we altered our house and remained there. Whether the accomdation would be all you desire I know not, but pray come and see it -- the situation is worth a great deal.
I have also got the enclosed order to view four houses -- the two first very likely to suit, -- but I don't know whether you desire quiet or not. In that case the Finchley Rd would not do, but St. John's Park would.
