Sweet Person!
I am recovering from an attack of rheumatic gout, and Madonna has not left her room for more than a week -- (return of her old malady) -- so you see there is but a grim prospect of our being able to delight ourselves at your house on the 6th -- nevertheless she is decidedly mending, and the attraction of the music (with a corner out of the way of draughts) is so great that we hope to be able to come. Should we not, pity us! 354
Ever yours
