My dear Lord
I will be with you on Saturday at 'bd past 9 and you shall induct me to the zoophytic breakfast room.
I miss several old friends among the [Selections]. 758 But that is generally the case. Cobbett 759 used to say "When I am asked what course of study a young man should pursue I reply Let him read all I have written." A na'efve expression of the true authorial state of mind, and one which has its justification after all, for it is only by reading a great deal of one writer that we get thoroughly acquainted with him.
