Dear Lord Houghton
Will you kindly cast your eye over the annexed sketch of a Memorial to Gladstone in favor of poor Du Maurier 77 -- correcting or enlarging it according to your wider knowledge of what is proper in such cases? and will you sign it when I have drawn up the amended draft?
That "Sunday Services for the People" (pleasant people!) are held at the Priory has not, we hope, been wholly forgotten by one whose "voice may have grown hoarse with singing of Anthems," 78 but whose wit made very good incense!
