My dear Blackwood
Eliot and I think that considering the possibilities and dangers of checques flying about, in search of rightful owners, and considering that I have to back his checques with my valuable signature, it would be advisable -- editore volente -- to have parts II and III shielded from such possibilities by your sending the checque with the proof of part III. If you see any objection to this, or can suggest any better plan let us hear it. I'm off on Saturday morning 15th. 818
Ever faithfully yours
G. H. Lewes.
