My dear Blackwood
The great Work bears the title Problems of Life and Mind; and the first batch thereof goes by this post registered. 150
I think it should be a volume resembling Hamilton's Lectures 151 -- but as there will be no marginal headings we may have a broader line. It will be desirable to make it as cheap as one can, by using a thin paper; but it ought also to look libraryish and handsome -- as all your books do.
I am quite ready to keep the press going but don't send more m.s. at a time than is needful because I have often revisions to make -- Casaubonlike.
Your news about the sale of the guinea edition is cheering, and unexpected. The Times review 152 is very well written but not specially remarkable I think. Others -- because it is in the Times? -- seem to think it a grand affair; and one or two friends cannot understand that Mrs. Lewes should not read that.
Port Royal Logic 153 arrived and was welcomed. We have just returned from Tunbridge looking after a country house -- found what we wanted and found it already let! 154
Mrs. Lewes begs to be kindly regarded by both of you.
