Our friend Mr. Lehmann wishes to purchase the right of translation in German of Mrs. Lewes's novel, "Felix Holt," for which he is prepared to pay whatever sum a German publisher would offer you for it. Mrs. Lewes would consider it a favour if you gave Mr. Lehmann the preference in this matter.
