Dear Mr. Dowden
A very welcome present saluted me today on my return home -- your capital Studies in Literature -- I am already familiar with them -- with two of them, very familiar -- and it is on this account that I am so glad to have them all together in a handsome volume. 447
Are we never to have the pleasure of seeing you in London again? 448 We flit at the end of this month and shall not return till December.
