Monday 19 May 1873
Went to Cambridge on a visit to Myers. 785 At lunch there was Mrs. Huth 786 and her daughter, H. Sidgwick, Gurney, Jebb, etc. Trinity Library and music in the chapel. Tea. Then to the boat race. Brilliant day but very cold. Dr. Phelps 787 and his wife. At supper several of the fellows. Home at 12 knocked up.
Tuesday 20 May 1873
Breakfasted with Sidgwick. Capital talk. Took a walk with Polly behind King's till lunch. After lunch went to a choral festival in King's Chapel. Anthems etc. Tea. Boat race. Supper. Hallam Tennyson, and the two Balfours. 788 Good talk till 'bd past 11. 789
Wednesday 21 May 1873
Breakfasted with Myers: Sidgwick, Mrs. Huth, Jebb, Gurney. We went over the University Library. Started at 1.30. Home to find quantity of letters.
