My dear Mr. William
I am much obliged to you for your letter of the 1st and glad to hear that the change of air and scene has done you good.
I hope this will be the last of your accidents, but I fear you have already disproved the "Non bis in idem" guarantee.
Charles said he would call on you today, which happens to be his only free day, but he would in any case have been sorry to keep you indoors by sending notice of his advent.
