On the other side you see Liebig's autograph, 1178 in which probably you will discover his character and manners.
We arrived at our beloved Richmond on Thursday, after a prosperous but fatiguing journey of two days and a night from Leipzig, where we spent a day and dined with the mighty publisher Brockhaus 1179 and spent an evening with Victor Carus, of Thierisch-morphological celebrity. 1180
Any good news about you and yours at any time will be acceptable. I retain the copy of your Journal till an opportunity occurs of sending or giving it you otherwise than through the Post.
