Dear Sara
Don't vex yourself about a matter of so little importance. No mischief is done. When Herbert Spencer comes to town, I will let Mr. Bray know his address, and then he can write to him according to any revised and amended edition of an invitation that may suggest itself. No one saw Mr. Bray's letter to me except myself. We shall indeed be delighted to see Herbert Spencer, but we intend to set off to the Devonshire coast as soon as affairs will allow, so we shall form no project of enticing him to settle for any time at Richmond. 696
The delightful article on the Congress of Vienna was written by Mr. Neuberg. 697 Neither of us contributes an article to the body of the Review this time. I was going to write an article on "Missions and Missionaries," but gave it up to Harriet Martineau, finding she was anxious to do it. 698
The National eclipses the Westminster in fascination. But the W[estminster] is not bad -- only a little too zealous for reforms of all sorts: "Avec tes r'e9formes, tu commences 'e0 m'ennuyer." 699 The article on Medical Despotism is by Mr. Chapman, 700 and is very creditable to him having been written in some haste.
