My dear Sara,
I was very naughty yesterday. I forgot to send the proofs, so they will not reach their destination until Monday. After a good deal of hesitation, I have acceded to your alterations of designation and designates. I do not think my use of the words etymologically improper, and they correspond better than any other to Bezeichnung and bezeichnet, 627 but I see the nature of your objection and have felt it in other connexions so that on the whole I adopt your suggestion as the less exceptionable phrase.
You named the 26th (Tuesday) as the day on which you wished to see me, and if that still remains a convenient time for you, I will set off by the train which leaves Coventry at 12.49 so as to be in London by 5.15. Should any thing occur to you or me to render a change of plan desirable we can let each other know on Tuesday morning.
Till when and after when, meine Beste, love me as Siebenk'e4s loved Leibgeber 628 -- but I am not pure and loving enough myself to win that model of all loves. I will be contented with some other type of your choosing.
