Friday.
The same to you dear Sara -- a year bright as its opening day!
Groombridge and Sons -- a long established house -- have just published Hickson's "Time and Faith," a heterodox book. 778 Why shouldn't they publish yours? Of course you would only ask them to do it on commission. Beyond them, I have no suggestion to make, seeing that Longmans, the least discriminating of publishers, have declined.
Mr. Chapman still, I believe, manages the entire business in K. W.
St., 779 and has an able assistant in Mr. Birt. 780 But I know nothing of his affairs beyond the fact that his transactions with us are very exact and punctual -- Ever dear Sara,
Your affectionate
Pollian.
