MS: Yale. Endorsed: This is "George Eliot" and was given to me by Mrs. Tr'fcbner. I. Oppenheim.
The Priory, | 21 North Bank, | Regents Park.
November 13. 71.
My dear Mr. Tr'fcbner
I find that we possess the "Opuscules" of which you and I were speaking yesterday. Mr. Lewes tells me that he found them in a parcel on our return from the country, Mr. Van der Wegen having kindly sent them during our absence. Hence I shall have the pleasure of reading them without giving you the trouble of lending me a volume.
Always yours truly
M. E. Lewes.
