My dear Mrs. Stephen
I was much discontented to have missed seeing you and Miss Thackeray 893 when you were kind enough to call the other day.
In case you should be inclined to the pretty action of coming to me again, I write to say that we have taken of late to the aged habit of driving more and walking less, so that we go farther and remain out a little later than we used to do. But after 'bd past 4 we should not be out on any but a rarely exceptional occasion.
I hope that Switzerland did you all good.
