My dear Fanny
Thank you for the nice long letter you wrote me the other day. I hope that by this time Henry is come back with good news about Ireland, for I would rather have you there than in the other hemisphere.
I shall really be glad to know that you have more breathing room both spiritually and physically, than you have at Leamington.
I have had a four days' headache this week but I am well now, and thinking with pleasure of my journey to Edinburgh on Tuesday. I am going to Geo. Combe's for a fortnight and am to pay a visit to Miss Martineau at Ambleside on my way home. I ought to come back refreshed, ought I not? Write to me as soon as you can tell me where you are to go.
