My dear Fanny
You see I am in England! Your letter has been forwarded to me from Geneva. I set out on my journey last Monday week and reached Coventry last Monday morning. M. D'Albert accompanied me to London and so smoothed the horrors of the way for me. But I am sad at the sight of my own country and feel more of an outcast here than at Geneva. To see you again will help to cheer me. I was very pleased to have Jane's 894 letter. I shall write to tell her so as soon as I have some decent writing materials. Love to Henry.
Your affectionate
