MS: Miss Dorothy Evans. Hitherto unpublished.
My dear Fanny
I must write to you today because this is decidedly the best day Father has had, and I want you to share my consequent bien-'eatre.
He seems quite comfortable now, and I hope when he can once get leave of the wind to go out, he will gather strength fast. I have written to Robert today.
Your affectionate
