My dear Mrs. Malleson
I have been suddenly recalled from a sad forgetfulness, for which I have no excuse but preoccupation with the writing of my answers to correspondents. You did not forget your wonted sweet act of kindness to me at Christmas, and my heart then went out to you in gratitude. What I have been forgetting is my subscription to the M. and W. Coll. 366 which I now enclose. With many affectionate memories of your goodness
