Thursday.
My dear Cara
Either on Friday or on Saturday evening, I shall be delighted to see you. 871 Friday, if you can come with equal convenience on either day; if there is any appreciable difference to you, Saturday will do well for me.
Thornie has had better medical reports, but is sadly fluctuating in his state. The prospect of recovery is very far off. This is a time of trouble, but we have alleviations that might easily be missing in this world.
We dine at six now. I shall be ready to see you any time after 7.
Ever your affectionate
Marian.
