Dear Cara
As a matter of course I forgot to give you your handkerchief at the right moment, so I send it by post.
I was at the Zoological Gardens on Saturday, but did not see you there. I hope you went, however, and saw not only the fashionables, but the much more interesting sight of the wondrous zoophytes and other marine queerities in the Vivarium. 328
Wishing you undisturbed enjoyment of your rest at home, I am ever, dear Cara
Your affectionate
Marian.
