Mr. Lewes being absent in Germany, I beg to reply to your request on behalf of Mr. Frothingham, 715 that no photograph of me is in existence, but we have heard that among the photographs taken of Mr. Lewes one is, or has been, sold in the shops. If he has any more definite knowledge on the subject, or has a copy still by him which he could spare he will let you know when he returns.
