December 17.
My dear Barbara
Miss Julia Wedgwood 119 will probably be preoccupied now until after Christmas, but whenever she is sufficiently at liberty to write to me proposing to come on any day not earlier than 'bd past 3, I shall be very happy to see her. It is necessary for me to know beforehand to prevent disappointment.
I read the account of Meltray with deep interest. It caused me happy tears. I am waiting for the right person to give it to.
Ever yours lovingly
