Dearest Barbara
We have promised Mr. Pigott, Mr. Redford and ourselves that you will come to us on Saturday evening. 832 I hope you have made, or will make, no other engagement. There will be music, you know. Of course our pleasure would be the greater if the Doctor cared to come also.
I saw you arrive this morning -- all the better for your absence, I hope. We at least shall be better for your presence.
Ever yours
Marian.
