Dearest Barbara
The fruit came just in the nick of time -- when he was wanting a strawberry and the last supply was all gone.
Dr. Reynolds 82 met Paget last evening. The report given to George is that there is slight curvature of the spine, and inability to move the ribs in breathing -- these seeming to Paget to be new symptoms. Reynolds thinks there is tuberculosis in some of the glands. But the case seems to be rather obscure. The only advice is -- rest, cod-liver oil, if possible, and morphia in case of pain. He has taken morphia 3 times since last night at 12.
Don't tire yourself to come today, because Gertrude has promised to come early, and he will probably be asleep, from the morphia. I fear you are not at all well.
'bd past 2 will do for Madame Mohl on Sunday.
