Dearest Barbara
The cruel winds are driving us from this northern coast, and I have just been packing up for our journey to Weymouth. 275 I write now, because, as we stay at Lichfield on our way, for the sake of seeing my nieces who are at school 276 there, we shall not arrive at Weymouth till tomorrow evening. If you have anything to say to us, address Poste Restante, Weymouth.
Your sister's 277 words are very sweet and helpful to me. Don't imagine that she can be troublesome to me, for she will understand that I am not able to be expansive as a letter writer, and any form of human love that comes near me does me unspeakable good.
Since feeble health sent us away from town, I'm glad you can't go there. It was my one regret that we should miss you.
Write as often as you can, and let me know all about you.
Ever your affectionate
Marian.
George says, "Tell her to date her letter to Chapman and Hall from Blandford Square." 278
