On second thoughts I despatch the proof and the epilogue at once, to guard against any possible inconvenience from delay.
I hope you will approve of my returning to the key note of the introductory chapter, and giving a parting glimpse of the old Vicar. 854 Part of the third story 855 shall be sent you as soon as possible. I remain, my dear Sir
