My dear Sir
How kind you are! I think also you have a way of divining what people like best. Iced water is what I always long for as my summer wine, while water un-iced is detestable to me -- at least London water, which is as flat a current as "the current literature." But now I have a graceful reason for treating myself to iced water -- I must drink your health frequently in that vehicle -- not of course with the slightest view to agreeable internal sensations, but out of the noble emotions of gratitude, esteem etc. etc.
