March 12. 74.
Dear Mr. Simpson
The two specimen pages you have sent me are certainly quite narrow enough for verses of five feet and had better not be reduced in width. I observe that the heading is a trifle wider than in the Keats, which is not an advantage, unless you find it necessary in order to get an agreeable proportion of the different margins. What I chiefly care for is to have the volume such as may be easily carried in the pocket.
The "Bothwell" 56 is a pretty edition. I like plain lettering and some little emblem, or else a repetition of the title, on the upper side. But we must not make my little book too costly.
Yours sincerely
M. E. Lewes.
