My dear Miss Davies
It was a very unpleasant chance to me that I missed you a second time when you were so good as to come to me. Pray do not be discouraged from another kind effort: it remains true that I am hardly ever away from home after 4 o'clock.
Next Wednesday, indeed, we are going to take a little boy to see a Pantomime, 831 and that dissipation will make us late in our afternoon absence.
I was not able to get to Suffolk Street 832 as I should have liked to do, for during half that week I was not well enough to look and listen. Always
