Dearest Dove
It seems clear that we are not to see you again within any calculable time, so as I am a great fidget about money debts I send a cheque for the amount of the two bills which you have paid for me. All the rest of my debt to you I shall only pay with love.
Johnnie is gone today for a final meeting with Mr. Armitage, in which they are to arrange the prints and the china, so far as these present stores will go.
All is well with us and we are wishing that Willie would come some day to see the tree-cutting and the plan of the new tennis ground which have made a great change since he was here.
I hope thy face is a little less pale and thy general self a little more flourishing for the time passed since I saw you. (I begin with the singular pronoun to express my affection and wind up with the plural to express my respect.) Love to all from
