Dear Friend
I am so delighted at the idea of seeing you that I can't help writing directly to tell you how you may get here. It is the easiest thing in the world. If you come on a week day, you must be at the Waterloo Station in time to come by the train at 12.15; if you come on Sunday, you must be there in time for the train at 1. Send us word when you will come and precisely the time when you would like to dine. We will undertake to digest at any hour under the stimulus of a friend's presence.
My poor sister has a new trial to undergo -- the death of her boy, who has been drowned at sea! 600
Thank you very much for taking the trouble to tell me something about affairs. Mr. Chapman is coming to dine with us tomorrow. What divine weather! Love to Cara

My head being rather dreamy this morning, I have forgotten to say, that you must get down at the Mortlake station. I will meet you there and conduct you to our home -- if possible. If not, you have only 3 minutes' walk to get here, and any one will tell you which way to take.
