Dear Dr. Clarke
Mr. Lewes is for the second time suffering from an attack of fierce pain in the left leg, which hinders him from walking and even from getting into a carriage. It is now the third day of this second attack, 350 and he has been suffering also from hemicrania and general malaise. Can you be an angel of mercy to us, and come to Mr. Lewes since he is not able to get to you? Even if there is no prescription but patience, the sight of you and the sound of your voice will strengthen the patience.
