Very ill with renal pain. In bed till 3.
Tuesday 27 May 1879
Drive in the rain to Elsted. Touched the piano for the first time. Letter from Michael Foster.
Wednesday 28 May 1879
Drove to Godalming, and opened account with Bank. His presence came again. Letter from Mrs. Pattison. Letter from W. Blackwood announcing that 3000 of Theophrastus disposed of -- going to press with 2d ed.
