Last Saturday I went rather too early, but was told she was in; had a headache and the day was too damp for her to drive. Johnny was there -- and she said to me, how did I guess she would be in. I said I had expected her to be out, but called just to know how she was because I foreboded being unable to call all the next week. I did not stay long, or outstay Johnny, but ventured to kiss her cheek in farewell and wrote on Sunday before speaking to a very few Radicals about "Common Ground."
