My dear Mrs. Senior,
At last the great work is finished! 287 I propose if you think you will be well enough to see me to bring it down to you tomorrow afternoon after office, reaching you about five. 288 I will read it to you and if necessary leave it with you to go through afterwards by yourself. I will bring back at the same time the books you have so kindly lent me. I am looking forward to seeing you again, and hope you will be well enough to see me. But don't let me fatigue you. If it will fatigue you, I can send the article to you by post, or rather as there is so much to return I will come down, but won't see you, if you are not fit. Please send me a line, because if you will not be well enough, I have some friends near with whom I will go and spend the evening, as I shall be in their neighbourhood and I must let them know I'm coming.
Yours ever
C. L. Lewes.
