Dinah Morris, a devout Methodist, preaches about the necessity of repentance, salvation, and God's mercy. Adam's brother, Seth, and some of the other working class inhabitants of Hayslope listen on and are inspired by Dinah's thought-provoking sermon (Book 1, Chapter 2).
