Felix Wounded in the Riot

Felix is wounded during the riot in Treby Magna. He attempts to mitigate the conflict by sending the rioters out of town, but gets in the middle of the chaos, and is injured. The illustration underscores the novel's critique of mob violence and highlights Felix's moral courage and commitment to order (Chapter 33).
